Turned up to a significantly higher level

   

Our year 2024 was rich in investment projects of all kinds. Among these, the acquisition of a new lathe from Japanese manufacturer MAZAK stands out as a highlight:

with SmoothG CNC control and a turning length of 500 mm.

With its extensive technical equipment, including a milling function, the CNC turning centre is ideally suited for a variety of demanding machining tasks. The equipment list includes, among other things:

• a tool turret with space for 12 driven tools
• the counter spindle with a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute
• last but not least, preparation for bar feed, which enables automated series production in unmanned operation

Turning three into one: this is how the positive effect can be summarised in a nutshell. Specifically, individual workpieces that previously had to be produced with three set-ups on several machines can now be brought into their final shape quickly and efficiently on the new Mazak without additional set-up processes.
A big step forward, which also gives the guys at the machine a lot of pleasure.
